The Plonlein, which translates as the "flat place," is probably the most photographed site in Rothenburg.
Here, the Untere Schmiedgasse splits onto two levels; the Plonlein that terminates at the Siebersturm above on the left,
and the Kobolzeller Steige that leads to the Kobolzeller Tower below.
Between the two is a quaint old half-timbered house.
